Ryan Reynolds Cursed Out by Wrexham FC Star in 'Deadpool' Clip
Ryan Reynolds' empire today reaches far beyond the world of Hollywood, as he and fellow actor Rob McElhenney maintain a co-ownership stake in Welsh soccer team Wrexham A.F.C. His love for all things Wrexham runs deep—so much so that he featured one of the team's star players in his latest movie.
On Nov. 14, the Canadian actor shared a deleted scene from his latest movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, that features a Wrexham player cussing him out. In the scene, Reynolds' Deadpool character is confronted by several other Deadpool impersonators, including "Welshpool," a Welsh version of his iconic red-suited hero complete with the red dragon of the Welsh flag on his outfit. Underneath the suit was none other than Paul Mullin, a forward on the Wrexham squad.
Reynolds' Deadpool character attempts to unite the others and rally them together. Instead, they turn on him, telling him to "Piss off," "Get f--ked," and "Go back to Canada." Welshpool is frank with his thoughts as he gives Deadpool a vulgar gesture and yells, "F--k off, c--t!"
