Popular Fitness Influencer Tragically Dies at 31
Chris O’Donnell, the fitness influencer known as Creeohdee on TikTok, has died at 31. An obituary confirmed that O’Donnell passed away on Saturday, Jan. 11. A report from the Maricopa Medical Examiner reviewed by People revealed that he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
O’Donnell, not to be confused with the actor of the same name, was immensely popular on TikTok, where he posted about his fitness regimen, his ample time outdoors, and his two ever-present dogs. He had 842,000 followers and nearly 30 million combined likes on the platform. On Jan. 4, O’Donnell shared a clip of his brother’s wedding that he came across while “reminiscing on old memories.” He called the wedding "one of my proudest moments as a brother, being able to send these two off into the next chapter of their lives."
Though less active on Instagram, where he boasted just over 240,000 followers, O’Donnell posted similar content there. His last post, made in November 2024, was a montage of recent outdoor adventures. "I wonder when I leave this earth, when I leave the rat race, when I’m lying in the dirt, if you’d remember my face," it was captioned.

After becoming sober in 2018, O’Donnell became “an advocate for substance abuse awareness, helping men and women who are struggling find the treatment they need," he wrote in a 2022 Instagram post, adding that he’s “been transparent about my own struggles in the hopes it will help others along their own path.”
In the same post, O’Donnell called himself “a two-time college dropout” and told followers he’d “worked more jobs than I can count, all the way from being a pool boy in Florida to being covered in fish guts for 20 hours per day in a salmon processing plant in Alaska. I have experienced many different walks of life in my short span of time here on earth.”
O’Donnell continued: “I love beauty, and I find nothing more beautiful than the world we live in. Being able to travel and capture sights that take people’s breath away, thus planting the seed of adventure within them is one of the most fulfilling rewards for me…I love the outdoors in general and nearly every animal under the sun (sorry mosquitoes) and I have two beautiful pups, Blue and Riley, who accompany me on my adventures.”
